Turn Your DRIP off

Turn Your DRIP offHi All,

Ignoring the Sandy MacLeod fan club for a moment, I wanted to remind shareholders to turn off your participation in the Dividend Reinvestment Plan for a couple of reasons:

  1. Drawing down cash will accelerate the decision point for the Voting Trust to bail before there is nothing left in the bank.  Cash is king when you're in trouble and no cash will be the clearest signal to these bozos that it is time to get out.
  2. On an even more practical note, the last DRIP was established at $.98/share paid on March 29th.  The closing share price on that day was $.87 - a loss of 11.22% before you got your hands on the shares.  At today's price of $.74, that represents a loss of 24.5% since March 29th.  Buy the shares as they continue to slide which has been the trend for the last decade and average down on your own terms.
