RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Hey Ghetto Investors

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Hey Ghetto InvestorsCanopy will not report a profit for a year or two and if that was their focus I would not be invested in them. At this stage of the cannabis industry, any company focused on profits or delivering profits is waving the white flag interns of global domination. Money should be spent on expansion and brands. The only focus right now should global footprint and top line revenue. Companies are years away from standard market metrics. If Cam has been talking profit, that's even more reason to jump ship and find a company more focused on growth. Aurora is stuck right now because they over diluted for the wrong assets. I dont think they can go back to the share well for more shares unless they focus on small deals with companies that are in a bit of trouble.
bionicjoe wrote: Homestretch4me, there is nothing to debate. You are comparing two totally different companies practicing different strategies and with different timelines. One that has taken advantage of several billion in investment from a corporate partner and one that is seeking its first major partnership. Until you level the playing field in terms of corporate involvement it becomes a pointless comparison. Who ultimately is crowned number 1 won't be deciided until the end of 2020 at the earliest. In the meantime no weed company is profitable so all you can say is Canopy is the best of the losers. A dubious distiction indeed.

I'm not arguing that Canopy right now is the darling of the institutional cannabis investor. I would be a fool to not recognize what Canopy's management has done for its shareholders. Whether it will stay at the top when ACB ratchets up its production might be another matter altogether.

BTW, the Acreage deal is contingent on the US federal laws changing. With an election coming up in the fall of 2020 does any politician want to stand up for an easing of the marijuana laws and in so doing open themselves up to crticism from their opponents? The US is not quite a Trudeau Liberal country. Looking forward to Canopy posting a profitable quarter by June or will they?
