Tehachapi or Lancaster

Tehachapi or LancasterSo why would the AIr Force get into the housing business?  Because it has no choice.  The communities near the Edwards Air Base are hot, Mojave Desert hot and are not nice places to live, drugs, poverty, etc,

Lancaster looks awful

- has a pop of about 160,000, located just 28 mi from Edwards AFB.  Average high temperature per Wikipedia is 77 degrees F, record high 115 degrees.

"Not only is Lancaster the worse place I've ever lived, it's the worse place I have ever been to"

Palmdale

Average hi 82 degrees F (for me that s the end of the discussion, NO WAY);  record hi 115 degrees!

Seems a lot better than Lancaster, but that's not saying very much.  Some very good opinions and some bad ones.  A lot of gang stories from 10 years ago, much less now.   BUT THAT AVG TEMPERATURE!

Tehachapi City

Average hi 67 degrees.!!, , record high 105 degrees, 44 mi away from Edwards.

pop 12,000 .  The bigger more established areas have a lot of bad people because this area is about 3 hours outside of LA .  There are a lot of very bad people who have moved out from there to larger more established communities.  On the other hand Tehachapi  Is too small town to have gotten impacted like those other places.  Plus as mentioned before a big state prison is a major employer and many of the guards and staff live in TC, and they don't take kindly. ..

People moving into take these positions at Edwards they come from all over the US.  Living in the desert where it's boiling in the day and freezing at night isn't exactly the ideal climate,  TC isn't the end all, it's tiny, got to be like the 'sticks' I figure and nightlife, you're kidding right?!  But the avg temp  makes up for a lot as well as the community itself.

No trades today, stand off lol!   We await on 4 fronts, what's to worry about?!
