Market Optimization segment is primarily responsible for the sale of the Company’s production to third-party customers and enhancing the associated netback price. The segment’s activities also include third-party purchases and sales of product to provide operational flexibility.

Oil Up / Energy Stocks down

Again, we see that rising oil prices do not translate into higher energy prices. The conventional wisdom is that a global slowdown will force an over supply and reduced demand. Also Exxon Mobil, a bell weather energy stock issued disappointing Q1 earnings this week.
