RE:RE:RE:Curtailment
Suncor was and is vehemently opposed to the cuts.
The truth of what was going on and their intent is in their numbers and actions:
1- They restart Syncrude following fire: fine.
2- They ramp up Fort Hills to max capacity during a glut: not fine.
The result?
Q4 2018 operating earnings of $580 million and FFO of $2.007 billion
What happened after the cuts?
Q1 2019 operating earnings of $1.209 billion and FFO of $2.585 billion
As a shareholder what do you prefer?
How much destruction of Alberta: producers, taxpayers, workers, would it have taken to compensate Suncor alone for the loss experienced in Q4 that would have continued further without the cuts?
So much for being a good Canadian corporation. Predatory you say?
