So you're a proud Albertan, as are most of my relatives. You (provincial majority) vote to avoid taxes at every opportunity so I can certainly see your point now.  But you've voted yourselves in to a sticky pit now haven't you? You have nowhere near the clean up funds necessary for shutting in gas wells, your tar sands emissions have dropped heavy metals all over the boreal and your tailings ponds still have no proven technology for remediation. But you're just too hard working and important to the Canadian economy to pay provincial taxes like everyone else. The rest of us should all just buckle down, stop complaining and just hope you don't pack up and head for Texas.
