RE:RE:RE:Oroco in Value Investing Contest
History is pretty clear as to what happens with these HUGE copper deposits. I say HUGE, as the word big doesn't do justice to a deposit with contained metal worth >$25 Billion, the equivalent value of, say, 20 million oz of gold. These deposits get bought by majors. And the prices paid average $0.07 per pound of Cu and Eq in the ground, with some, but not a lot, of deviation from that average based on prevailing copper price and variables such as grade, metallurgy, location, etc. That, my friends, is an inevitability. It's happened to all but a small handful of these deposits, and those not already sold are either still being defined by drilling or have flaws of some sort. Are there exceptions, good deposits still not sold, yup, but few, and watch that change in the next 18 months as these get snapped up. Santo Tomas' "flaw" until recently has been the legal status. That is now resolved, as those who've done their homework knew was inevitable. The last 18 month of gain in sp have been great, but that was just the opening, the pregame show. I eagerly await the next inevitability. Will it be 5X, 8X, 10X or greater than the current sp, 12, 18, 24 or >months away? Don't know, because all the options are a big win from here, just as the legal resolution was a great win for all who invested based on an understanding of it and trust that management could execute. And hey, we may get lucky and a bull mkt in resources may start. That would turbo charge what's already going to be a great ride.
