Canadian Operations segment includes the exploration for, development of, and production of oil, NGLs, natural gas and other activities within Canada. Market Optimization segment is primarily responsible for the sale of the Company’s production to third-party customers and enhancing the associated netback price. The segment’s activities also include third-party purchases and sales of product to provide operational flexibility.

Conoco Philips could also be a potential suitor

for EnCana energy. It has major interests in both the Permian Basin and also in the Montney area in Canada. It is also a big enough company to absorb EnCana. Just last month it sold off some of its British assest in which the proceeds could be used for an acquisition in North America. GLTA Longs!
