RE: Blackdog - Short Trades to mid may Thank you for posting that Black. Aside from over 41% of trades being short, there's a key insight on the data that lends insight into the manipulative nature of the scheme.
41% of trades were short, yet less than 35% of the volume.
For a stock where the average lot size is already low due to the restricted liquidity we have here, that spread is quite telling. It means the predominant short trade is small lots, the 100lots we regualrly see.
While the inverse is also true - buys are done in size and thus less trades, more volume.
The data paints the picture of the manipulation, specifically supression, by large interests that we see in the trade action.
The 100 share splash on the bid, usually when there are weak bid sizes. Which for a stock like this, is often. Hence the whole attractiveness for BNE and this strategy, like certain other lower volume, low float names.
A 100 share lot short algorithm that monitors bid strength and generates opportunistic sell lots isn't something you would expect from retial, not to mention it woud normally be such a commission intenstive strategy on most' platforms.
