Is this the first step to going private or beginning steps towards moving to a US listing now that most of the business is in the States? Can't see how a reverse split increases liquidity unless some institutions want to buy and can't because of the low price.
Usually reverse splits aren't good because there are ouside pressures that are forcing the company to do the deed. Like retaining compliance because of a minimum bid price eg. $1 for NASDAQ. This isn't the case for TII on the Venture. Maybe having a a higher price and lower number of shares will increase the demand for shares. I don't know but management must have a reason for doing this consolidation. With all the success in the US, the end of the Urbancorp fiasco, $.02/ share profit and trading no where near book value surely the shareprice should go up. But who knows if this will happen? Definitely not me.
