On the topic of security at the farm
On the topic of security at the farmIt will be fun to work in Security for 48North... Just based on this publication: https://lfpress.com/news/local-news/opportunity-as-big-as-all-outdoors-for-first-licensed-outdoor-pot-grower We can see a bunch of commercial grade security measures: -(Photo 1/8) Thermal cameras - the model shown looks like the Bosch DINION IP thermal 8000 - if I'm right it's designed for outdoors and covers incredible distances - that's no home surveillance camera; comes with video analytics software and is designed for critical applications with limited vision due to poor lighting conditions, smoke or complete darkness. -(Photo 5/8) LED lighting systems - could also include infra-red for surveillance but most likely white-light for deterrent and better image quality when something happens. They can probably illuminate the whole perimeter in the click of a mouse - and believe me these lighting systems are powerful... -(Photo 6/8) Fences have sensors - That cable we see running at the middle of the fence is most likely part of a vibration/ motion detection system to detect any attempt to cut, climb or lift the fence. -(1:12 of the video) - we see a smaller camera with two "lenses" just above the barbed wire. Not sure what the model of this one is but typically when you see two lenses you have a thermal imager and visible (HD) imager sitting side-by-side; also the way it's mounted suggests they are moving cameras Add 24/7 security and it's starting to look like what we had at the nuclear plant where I worked (except our guards were heavily armed ;)
