June is rapidly approaching and so are the next steps in the LODE Wallet roll-out. The LODE technical teams (Atomic 47 and Blockchain Foundry) are excited to announce that the first two wallets, in a series of wallets, will be available for download on June 4, 2019. The Syscoin supported LODE Desktop Wallet and the LODE Paper Wallet will both be available for download from the LODE Members’ Portal. As many of our members are new to the world of cryptocurrency and the technology associated with the wallets, the tech teams are providing a five-week training period between June 5 and July 10, 2019, in which the LODE Community can explore the use of, and become comfortable with, the form and function of these wallets. This time period will also be used to ensure security for the community’s tokens allowing for “battle hardening” of the Syscoin 4 Network. During this introductory phase of wallet roll-out, LODE Token and AGX Coin holders will be able to download the wallets and create the public address for their tokens and coins. The tech teams will log the addresses that are created and match them to the tokens and coins upon release. At the end of the training period on July 10, 2019, LODE Tokens and AGX Coins will be issued into the wallets. To facilitate learning and provide as much support as possible to the community during the roll-out, the LODE Marketing team will be posting a tutorial video that will provide step-by-step instructions for the download and operation of each wallet. In addition, there will be a live AMA (ask me anything) session on Reddit on June 5th at 11 AM PDT - 7 PM GMT. The link will be posted on the LODE social media channels on June 4th. The LODE Team will continue to provide live chat support to assist members with questions. During this time, the tech teams will be looking for feedback and comments from the Community on the desktop and paper wallets. Those interested in participating in a testing group are invited to send an email to info@lode.one with the subject line: Wallet Testing June 2019. With the implementation of the wallets, members will be asked to participate in the first step of KYC (know your customer) process. The KYC process will only apply to those current and future members that contribute 500 ounces (15,500gr) or more into the LODE Project. Any member that has contributed 500 ounces or more will be sent a separate email detailing step-by-step instructions on how to complete the KYC process. Currently, there are no KYC requirements for those members that have contributed less than 500 ounces. The LODE Project is positioning itself to be THE SILVER-MONEY SYSTEM OF THE FUTURE. In doing so, the only way to truly address the long-term needs of the community and the opportunities associated with the multiple use cases is to remain agnostic across technologies, blockchains and merchant networks. LODE is currently innovating around an interoperability strategy for the purpose of making silver liquid. This will require exploration into opportunities to allow access to multiple blockchains, trade networks, and access points such as ATM’s and Point Of Sale for AGX. All of which will help realize the community’s vision to build LODE into an autonomous, decentralized, global ecosystem based on silver as digital money! The future is looking very bright for LODE with new innovations and significant partnerships in the works for the second half of 2019. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for further information on all of these exciting areas of growth. Keep Calm and LODE ON!!! |
