RE:RE:New short positions on booksYes, the statistics report lumps short sales and covers together and can have a much higher number because some cover quickly (e.g., on the day, even. Been there, done that - not with NRTH, of course, though). The CSPR considers short sales and covers separately to report the resulting balance of short positions, which is a useful measure of what was going on more (shorting or covering... in this period there was 0.301M more short sales than covers). Not huge. Still, to put in perspective, that can be a full day's worth of volume on a low volume day (all sales), and will later tip to equivalent buying pressure at some point in future when they need to be covered. Admittedly, minor affect relative to non-short transactions. So you dont think I'm being over-bullish, here's a pissibility I've drawn on my chart (and I intend to hold through it. Hind-sight is 20-20, but this is just my scribbling of what I think would produce a natural looking chart, with turn around oversold RSI, as other stocks like weed may hit oversold RSI, too, and as they begin to go into harvest. Again, Im holding, though...and would be buying if I werent already intensified - it passes my "would I buy now" test)... https://www.tradingview.com/x/SqHKzEgO/
