An employee working at Canadian cannabis company Aphria's Leamington, Ont. facility is reportedly in "good spirits" following a workplace injury Friday morning.

According to Aphria Director of Communications Andrew Swartz, the employee suffered a minor injury to his fingertips at approximately 8 a.m. this morning.

The employee received treatment at hospital and is expected back at work on Monday.

Swartz said that he's currently unsure of how the worker's hands were injured.

He added that the Ministry of Labour hasn't been informed about the injury, as it did not meet the necessary threshold to inform the ministry.
