My visit to blast at high grade gold mine, The 16 to 1, Pics

My visit to blast at high grade gold mine, The 16 to 1, PicsOK here are some photos from my 16 to 1 Mine visit. Still have not pulled pics and videos from my cell phone. Mine CEO Mike Miller took these. I was there to look at the deposit and see if there are some new technologies that could help them and also to help demonstrate the SierraBlaster blasting system for specimen extraction. Use it myself and do have an interest in it.

For them core drilling is not worth it and they stopped. Gold tends to be very visible or not at all. They use metal detectors to decide what to mill or not. Visible gold over 1/4" thick was found where my feet are in one picture that is labeled as such. Enjoy the pictures. https://imgur.com/a/FuAwE1s  If that link does not work which have seen before on imgur on SH  after imgur.com it is /a/FuAwE1s

The 16 to 1 is maybe the best high grade specimen gold mine of 20th century. Beta Hunt might be for next decade.

This video by someone else is quite good, at 18:30 you see the stairs.  Much of it the headwall is 4 feet above the stairs.  I used muscles did not know had carrying equipment hunched over going down the stairs which were very long. Glad someone else videoed it, no way I could.  Coming up stairs was much easier. About 2.5 miles in and out, 50% or so on electric train. Stairs alone maybe 400 feet.  What an adventure.     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZkU5ChS4dk

Here is a 25 oz gold nugget they have for sale I see on ebay https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Large-Gold-Bearing-Quartz-Specimen-Original-16-1-Mine-California-1155-92-Grams-/143225451400
