RE:Too funny - exact same conversation with thc kiss a yr agoNot quite the same....maybe you never went to business school and studied the affect of automation on the tobacco industry.....
In the late 19th century, cigarettes became popular.
James Bonsack created a machine that automated cigarette production. This increase in production allowed tremendous growth in the
tobacco industry
it also drove a huge profitability increase for the tobacco companies...who become and still are some of the strongest cash flow generating businesses going.
Effectively THC with this one machine has a throughput of 5,000 x 60 min x 24 hours x say $3.00/wholesale per joint = 7,200,000 joint/day x $3.00 = $21m/day net rev almost $8.0B/yr....while at the same time probably knocking 80%+ out of the labour/handling costs.
Add to that distribution through BC and ON online...but more importantly the growing retail channel where single use will be a very easy to transact format....think of tourist places where you couldn't keep them in stock......I’d take a store in Niagara Falls and Whistler and probably do $20M+
whether for margin or revenue improvement or both....it seems like a good move to me
