Surge Energy Inc (Alberta) T.SGY

Alternate Symbol(s):  ZPTAF | T.SGY.DB.B

Surge Energy Inc. is a Canada-based oil focused exploration and production (E&P) company. The Company's business consists of the exploration, development and production of oil and gas from properties in Western Canada. It holds focused and operated light and medium gravity crude oil properties in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, characterized by large oil in place crude oil reservoirs with low recovery factors. It offers exposure to two of the five conventional oil growth plays in Canada: the Sparky and SE Saskatchewan. It holds a dominant land position and is drilling a mix of horizontal multi-frac and horizontal multi-lateral wells in the Sparky area. Sparky is a large, well established oil producing fairway in Western Canada. SE Saskatchewan is a focused operated asset base with light oil operating netbacks. SE Saskatchewan operates low-cost wells with short payouts and offers potential for continued area consolidation.

Liberal governments in Canada

Liberal governments in CanadaI think there are only 2 provincial Liberal governments left in Canada and, of course, the federal Liberal government. Several Liberal/NDP governments have been booted lately, including Ontario, Alberta and Quebec. I think? BC has the only NDP government now. Correct me if I'm wrong. So, the trend seems to be a move toward the Centre/Right, with important issues like resource development, pipelines, immigration, deficits, native issues, perceived weakness in corruption and trade issues, etc. Even with Centre/Right parties in Canada there is no slashing and burning of social programs, but only a slowing in the rate of growth. One of the latest polls puts the federal Conservatives at 39% support, Libs at 29%, NDP at 13% and Greens at 11%. Better days are coming, me boys, with upcoming elections, TMX approval, summer driving season in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Saudi floor price at $50 WTI. The beautiful Canadian summer is upon us. Rejoice my friends, rejoice!
