Retail vs. Major shareholder

Retail vs. Major shareholderI still do not understand how the retail shareholders will suffer more than the major shareholders. Are we not all in the same situation, except for size of investment ? We all will benefit or suffer from the Consolidation. We all suffer from the referendum. If share dilution occurs in order to raise money in the future, we all get diluted. Other than having a say at the table regarding major decisions, how is the retail investor any worse off?
