RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:I hate to say it but...@johnny54 thanks for sharing your thoughts. You say "what do you guys see needing to happen within the company in short term with regards to possible news releases and possible SP reactions to those"
I think because KAT has never had its own independent Exec Management that had enough strength to offer it's own vision to build a story on the back of our amazing assets - let alone meet the Street and sell those ideas - you might be asking for more than is really there.
Without question, KAT have been almost faultless in our re-furbs and asset build outs. That stuff is difficult enough to do let alone on budget and in the middle of central Africa. But that's it.
But to my first point, and to yours looking for some kind of executive led positive re-grouping, there is none and won't be any. We have an absolute vacuum at the top of KAT in that regard so your statement looking for some kind of positive PR is simply a dream.
What is true is that our KAT c-suite is populated by individuals seconded by and reporting to GLEN.
GLEN couldn't care less about the wider corporate identity and branding of KAT. They couldnt care less about putting the new CEO on the road to meet the buy side and the sell side. He woud be roasted anyway. Imagine a coal guy sitting in front of Rick Rule or Evy Hambro??? It just wouldn't be smart.
GLEN wants two things and two things only: security and certainty of supply and life-of-mine offtake. That's it. Nothing else.
For a time, they weren't even bothered by KAT's blatant flouting, ignorance and cheating on matters of Timely Disclosure and Fiduciary Duty as required by any public issuer operating in Canada under OSC listing rules.
So its clear to me GLEN doesn't give rats a*se about sentiment, about anything us minority shareholders express on this and other B.boards...
Very frustrating. IMO, for us to right our ship, we are relegated to simply waiting for confirmation of clean Co production again, full Co exports again, a Debt rollover as well as for Co & Cu prices to return to the upside. That and an end to the ludicrous China vs US tariff war. Outside of these things, nothing's going to move our needle.
These are my views only. Thanks for reading.
