Medical Facilities Corporation is a Canada-based company, which owns a portfolio of surgical facilities in the United States. The Company owns interest in four specialty surgical hospitals (SSHs) located in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and South Dakota, and one ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) located in California. ASCs are specialized surgical centers that only provide outpatient procedures, whereas SSHs are licensed for both inpatient and outpatient surgeries. The SSHs and ASC provide facilities, including staffing, surgical materials and supplies, and other support necessary for scheduled surgical, pain management, imaging, and diagnostic procedures and derive their revenue primarily from the fees charged for the use of these facilities. In addition, two of the SSHs provide urgent care services. The facilities focus on a limited number of clinical specialties such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, pain management and other non-emergency elective procedures.

Medical Facilities announced today that David Watson has been appointed as CFO effective immediately. He replaces Tyler Murphy who has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

Mr. Watson has 30 years of finance and accounting experience including the last 15 years as a senior executive. Prior to his appointment as CFO of Medical Facilities, Mr. Watson held several leadership positions including 1) CFO of Clearway Pain Solutions Institute - a leading pain management medical practice; 2) CFO of Correct Care Solutions (now known as Wellpath) - a healthcare provider to correctional facilities; and 3) CFO and Senior VP of National Surgical
Hospitals – an owner and operator of physician-partnered surgical hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs) specializing in musculoskeletal cases.
 
Given Mr. Watson’s impressive track record and prior executive experience, we can expect a seamless transition into the role and into MFC’s country-wide growth strategy.
