Seasonality is approximate. It can be a month/weeks early or late. You see the graph shows positive performance between march and june. This has definitely not been the case. However, a turn can occur during the summer (higher electricity consumption) followed by the winter. Right now, given the uncertainty surrounding trade, this has some impact to some extent on natgas and oil. If things turn out positive, we could be close to a medium-term bottom. On the other side, if things are negative, you might see a drop early july as shown on the chart... Its a flip of the coin. However, I am cautiously optimistic and positioned for a positive outcome with overweight cyclicals and slightly underweight interest rate sensitives at this point in time.
