Stumpage fees.
The reason Government is raising Stumpage fees is because American companies argue that Companies in Canada get their logs cheap in comparison to U.S. companies. This will hopefully get the U.S. to remove or lower the duty imposed right now. It will take time. This has been the issue for the last 30 years when I first started working in the Lumber industry. Many argue that Cedar should be exempt because its only about 5 percent of the Canadian market. WFP produces a lot of Cedar. imo
