RE:Stumpage fees.

RE:Stumpage fees.
The reason Government is raising Stumpage fees is because American companies argue that Companies in Canada get their logs cheap in comparison to U.S. companies.

What you say is not correct.     It is not that the mills get fiber supply cheap.   But rather that government subsidizes the price mills pay due to Government owning the timber and controls price.   Timber in Canada is not an open bid process nor from private timber farms where it can be sold to the highest bidder as it is in the US.

Secondly the Canadian dollar is 25% lower than the US greenback.   That gives the Canadian mills an unfair selling advantage.       The Stumpage increase is being peddled to the public by Government as a cover for the need for more government revenue.   Totally due to their mismanagement of the peoples money.

Horgan needs to cover the shortfall in revenue caused by cancelling all bridge tolls, Increase in welfare giveaways,  Costly Green agendas, and the costs of fighting the pipeline which would ship oil off shore.  Which would actually bring foreign money into the country.
Government has grown so large,  people who work directly,  indirectly or rely on government funding for survival,  now amount to more than 65% of the population.   The remaining number are private and industry who actually are responsible for bringing new money into the country which supports the lifestyle.

The problem is government employees who live off the public purse are paid more than the private workers who raise the funds the country runs on.    So Horgan and Trudeau both raise taxes, levys and stumpage  which drives business to cut production or leave the country for Greener pastures costing jobs.

And people want these NO Mind Governments to get further involved.
   Where's the common sense ?

The fight Climate change agenda they espouse is a Hoax !   Nothing more than another method of raising taxes on the people.

A severe recession    (Market Correction)   is on the horizon.   This Bull market run is now in it's 11the year.   The longest in history.      On average a resession ocurres every 3.5 to 4 years.
