Better daysIn the 2015 election the Liberals won 184 seats, 40 of 78 in Quebec and therefore 144 in the rest of Canada. The Liberals took a) every seat in Atlantic Canada b) all but 1 seat in Ottawa c) all but 5 seats in Montreal d) all but 1 seat in Winnipeg e) all but 2 seats in Vancouver f) 2 seats in Calgary. The party seems to be centered more in Ontario, than Quebec, and the mother tongue of the Prime Minister is english. The Environment Minister Catherine Mckenna is from Ottawa. The Finance Minister, very important portfolio, is from Toronto,Ontario. Another very senior portfolio, Foreign Affairs, is held by Chrystia Freeland, born in Alberta, lives in Toronto. The Minister of Defence Harjit Sajjan is from Vancouver. The main locus, if any seems to be Toronto. But as of now, Ontario has 76 Liberal seats in parliament, Quebec 40, 7 in Manitoba, 3 in Alberta, etc, etc. In the next election the Liberals look to be almost wiped out in the Prairie Provinces, except for a possible couple of seats in Winnpeg and weakened in BC, ONT, Atlantic Canada and probably Quebec, based on current polls. Better days are coming, my friends. Do not be discouraged. Shoutout to Trevor for provoking thought.
