I think you might be right. It will be a combination of things that cause the drop in share price.
Bruce already said the next quarter wouldnt be a good one due to the restructuring of Constellations warrants. It is supposed to cause a material loss for the quarter.
As all the Canopy retail investors digest the departure of their messiah, Bruce Linton, lots of them will be leaving For other opportunities as the direction of Canopy and its plans for world domination are now up in the air until Constellation clarifies their intentions.
No major catalysts on the horizon for the next 4-6 weeks as no moves will be made without the permanent CEO in place . The next 4-6 weeks will be all about reigning in costs while searching for a successor to Bruce.
I hate not being invested in Canopy, but Constellation are strangers to me and until they clarify their intentions, they can't be trusted with my money. Who knows if they will do what's best for Canopy shareholders or for constellation shareholders. You would think that they would not be mutually independent but Constellation may get defensive with their 5 billion dollar investment and that wouldnt be good for Canopy shareholders. If they confirm with their actions that they are pursuing Bruce's vision I will be back in. Chances are slim they are going to pursue Bruce's vision as it wouldnt make sense to fire Bruce if that was their intention.
Still saddened by Bruce's departure.
