I've decided to go and size these people up for myself as I'm trying decide if the market is seriously mispricing Trevali these days and management has something credible to offer.
Understand that I'm coming from the perspective of someone who first bought in 2016. Zinc was .80 and zinc price nirvana was thought to be $1.10-$1.20. So, if new mgmt can demonstrate a credible approach to operations I'm far from despair at today's $1.09 zinc.
A lot has changed for Trevali to say the least and the question I intend to ask for which, oddly, I don't expect an answer is if Grimbeek anticipates action of the takeover variety from Glencore once the tethers are removed September 1. As I said I don't expect an answer but you never know...
Otherwise I expect Trevali to be orphaned for the forseeable future because Trumps trade war calculus may well be that he gains more votes whamming on China than he loses bankrupting farmers and a decision won't come until next year. The other side of that bet is election polls show a benefit to Trump declaring victory and ending the trade. I just can't stand viewing Trevali's future being so binary, so either/or and depending solely on a brain dead moron like Trump.
