FLY AWAY FROM TRANSATAir Transat's Board of Directors/Management have a serious problem of credibility. In January 2019, it is alleged that Air Transat received a Letter of Intent from Groupe Mach to buy Air Transat. Air Transat didn't bother to answer Groupe Mach. On April 30, 2019, on the same day it held its Annual Meeting of Shareholders, Transat's President and CEO Jean-Marc Eustache revealed that intense rumours circulating about the sale of Air Transat has forced the company to publish a News Release. If Mr. Eustache claims that there were several parties who have approached Air Transat for a sale, obviously Air Transat was made aware much before its Annual Meeting of Shareholders on April 30, 2019 of the several parties interested in the sale of Air Transat. Why did any of those interested parties have not come out and revealed their offer price for Air Transat. Groupe Mach should have disclosed the price it was willing to pay to buy Air Transat, rather than waiting to hold talks with the company who did not bother to answer Group Mach regarding its Letter of Intent. This move by Groupe Mach would have led other interested parties in Air Transat to follow up with their offers. Air Transat stating that it has received several offers for its sale before April 30, 2019 appears untruthful, misleading, as only Groupe Mach has informed having contacted Air Transat in January 2019. Air Canada has certainly not informed Air Transat of its willingness to buy Air Transat before April 30, 2019 as Air Canada would have come out with a News Release to confirm its interest. As the outcome of the sale of Air Transat will either go ahead or failed rest upon a Shareholders Vote in August 2019, Air Transat Board of Directors/Management have definitely been secretive on what exactly happened, which is a clear lack of ethics. To all Air Transat shareholders, dont waste your time with such a poor managed company. Take your money and get out.
