Sources of oil imports

Sources of oil importsGood points CDN. It's hard to find really recent statistics. I know in 2013 92% (see Nov 2018 article in Canada's National Observer) of oil to Quebec refineries was imported. With the Enbridge Line 9 reversal in 2015, 300k bpd of Quebec oil, or about 75%, minimum (300k/400k) comes from North America. The U.S is emerging rapidly as an exporting giant, quickly pushing out foreign oil, and there is a gas pipeline running from the gulf to New York harbor, which is a huge regional hub for products, like the Irving Refinery is. In 2017 according to the article cited, 82% of Quebec oil was sourced from North America, and that figure is now 90%, and was quoted by Legault. Joseph Heller (BNE) posts really interesting information about smaller pipeline optimizations that collectively improve western oil egress. Very hard to decipher the complicated flows of all the various petro products, so I can't give a very good answer. Quebec refines about 400k bpd but I forgot to check what the actual Quebec consumption is, in terms of bpd.
