What Agrima did was outright illegal and needed to be stopped right away. What did Canntrust actually do? Canntrust only grew too early in rooms that were about to be licensed. The product passed all the same inspections that the rest of their product went through and there were no ill effects of the products. The part that is truly punishable imo is the deceitful pictures, if they did actually happen. Why did this happen? They were just too eager to ramp up production because of all the promises made by Brad Rogers, Eric Paul and Michael Ravensdale. When they realized they weren't going to deliver to shareholders in a timely manner they needed to distance themselves. Since Eric Paul was the majority shareholder, the other two resigned and Eric Paul stepped down as CEO, but remained as Chairman. When they did that and handed it over to Peter Aceto, it seems like they set him up to be a fall man for this. What Peter Aceto got stuck with was a company that was not going to meet their targets to have the full phase 2 facility done in 2018. This was promised to investors last year. Also, at the same time, the town of Pelham had just introduced a bilaw putting a hiatus on new development. That put an end to phase 3 plans as the they didn't propose the plans before the bilaws were passed. A big failure on the part of the old management. This was promised to be built by the end of this year initially by Eric Paul & Co. Aceto jumped into this crashing ship not knowing what he was in for. He didn't fully understand the cannabis business and yields. He believed the lies that were told to him and all other investors by Eric & Co. Peter persevered as any good leader does, and after negotiating with the town Peter Aceto got their amended approvals for the phase 3. Problem one: solved. However, problem two was tougher. How to get quantities and yields up when Health Canada approval wasn't going to happen for a few months. So I'm not sure where the actual directive came from regarding starting to grow in those ranges. If it was from Brad, Eric Paul or Ravensdale, and Peter Aceto really did not know, now he might just be the fall guy for a problem that wasn't really his fault or if that was his solution to getting production up quicker. I really do think the whole problem lays with Eric Paul though. He started the company, he is the majority shareholder, and he is still the chairman of the board. He was the one who overpromised to investors from the start. He also should know the ins and outs of the company more than any other person. He is also the one who told Bloomberg last fall that he was expecting a beverage deal in 60 days. He has been constantly dumping his shares since. He needs to be removed from the board immediately. Ideally he would also have to relinquish all his shares to Health Canada too lol. But seriously, I am uncertain on whether Peter Aceto needs to resign as I still think he is a good leader unless he gave the directive to grow illegally. I do not believe the crime to be large enough to warrant them losing their license or it getting suspended. What they did in comparison to Agrima or Bonify was minimal. Canntrust went 10 over the speed limit while the other two went 50 over the limit. This is my two cents on the whole situation. I really do like Canntrusts products more than any other LP. I believe it to be the best dosed. Especially their CBD strains are amazing! Love the 1:1 too! Can't wait for this to be over so I can refill my prescription. Best regards, ERL

However if you go along this rationale - if it is illegal process on TRST, it cannot in turn be legal sale, even if their avenues were legally approved - because the product was illegal to begin with. At least, this is how I see it.  You bring up an interesting thought though, as many are indeed comparing it to Agrima's demise.  I see TRST as doubling down on it's illegal activity!  I hadn't thought of that, until you pointed your thoughts out. Let's see how this all plays out.
