RE:Ink Research

RE:Ink Research
"A breakout of Canadian financials could be a sign that better days are ahead for the group. We are not there yet, but given the value offered by small-caps such as Yangarra, we will be keeping a close watch for a possible turn."

This is really the issue these days: nobody buys into a downturn anymore.

The analysts, portfolio managers, technical traders and now most new retail investors never buy unless the trend is up.

So what we have is an army of lemmings pushing the overvalued even more into overvalued territory and discouraged investors along with shorters push the undervalued even more into undervalued territory. It is a feedback loop that never seems to end.

It was the exact same in 1998-2000. This will likely end too but, it is impossible to predict when it will stop. There is also no real big warning or bell telling you that the time has come. It seems to happen so gradually that no one really notice.
