KLFlying. Everyone has done that before selling before you should. A few months from now this will be just a distant memory, when you bought, and when you sold. IMHO

Heres three strategies I've been using. I agree sitting and watching can be hard to do especially if the stock made a big gain that you don't want to lose it
What I've been doing lately if I sell a stock that I didn't really want to lose and have to buy back higher if I want the same amount as before. I try to sell something else that I don't care too much about that also went up so I have some extra funds to make up the difference. It still hurts but at least I get back my full position in the favorite and made a little elsewhere.
Another thing is to buy a little extra shares if you can so you can just sell a little if it goes up and buy them back if it goes down and have them to sell again later to keep you from being tempted to sell the core holding.
Third strategy is figure out a price that you don't think the stock (eg KL) will reach during the day then double the difference just to be sure before setting your ask price. If the stock price still starts to get near keep raising your sell price. If all else fails and you still end up selling some then buy back next day even if its up (sometimes you just have to admit you lost the trade because you could have had more but at least you made a gain and the battle is back on !)
