RE:RE:Opinion: The fact they sold illegal cannabis at all...We can all speculate all we want all we know for sure is that some pot was grown in rooms that were about to be licensed using the same standards as the licensed rooms and sold in the same manner as the pot grown in the licensed rooms. My thoughts are that I don't believe it to be criminal as it does not seem to have any criminal intent. I don't think there will be any suspension. I think they will begin selling again next week. Some people will be fired. Tighter quality control measures will be implemented. They will need to prove themselves to Health Canada and earn back the trust by following through after they are allowed to resume selling to their patients again. No one was harmed. No ill intent or unsafe measures were taken. This seems like a small amount of pot in the grand scheme. So much pessimism and negativity around, it's really annoying how much people want a good story where there isn't one. Nick Lalonde, aka the whistleblower, had his 15 min of fame. He is not a hero, he definitely did it for his own self aggrandisement. This whole situation seems way too blown up and hyped up by the media

I don't believe it would be a stretch to say, selling illegally grown cannabis worldwide, could very well be argued.. is drug trafficking.  International crime. Along with potential fraud, and unjust enrichment.  Innocent until proven guilty, but the optics are very bad at the moment.

They obviously could not say the unlicensed rooms where licensed, they must have claimed those kgs were from their current grow rooms in the paperwork.  The only way to do this, would be to "cook the books".  Walls or no walls; that is a mute point to dramatize the story.  The fact still remains, they were able to sell and extract this cannabis without HC knowing.  The more I reflect, the more weary I become.  It is a scandal, but will it be criminal? That remains to be seen.
