Chris Grove: US Air Force Request for Information

Chris Grove: US Air Force Request for InformationEver since meeting C[h]ritopher Grove at one of the mining conferences he has made a point of calling me about once a year to check in and give me updates on what is going on at CCE. I am touched by this level of personal involvement and attention to detail; I have attached his last e-mail below.
Up-shot was that there is increased interest since the threat by China to stop exporting REE's, including a program from the US government. There will likely be additional financings to move the project along. I will be adding to my share count.

Hello Andreas:

I hope you are well and I hope you may be interested in the following information.

Currently, and in terms of the threat that China will halt shipments of the REE’s to the United States, we have seen a significant increase of interest in our Ashram REE Deposit we are working on here at Commerce Resources Corp. (www.commerceresources.com).

Please see attached our latest news release.

This news was an update on the developments we have achieved in the last few years, including the production of REE concentrates in the +45% TREO range, and what we look forward to in terms of next steps including the production of representative samples of our REE concentrates, and also of our acid grade fluorspar concentrate.

Whether or not China actually halts shipments of the REE’s to the United States, I do not know, but I would like to point out that this threat has brought focus on to the fundamentals of the REE market, where very importantly China is now a net importer and while global demand just continues to increase.

This simply means that the United States are in direct competition with China for new supplies of the REE’s, as are all countries globally at this time.

As well, I was contacted by a former associate Matt Zolnowski who is now the Special Advisor on Strategic Materials for the Office of the Secretary of Defense for the United States. Matt is working on the initiative that followed the agreement signed recently by President Trump and Prime Minister Trudeau, which I hope that you saw.

Trump, Trudeau seek collaboration on 'critical minerals': White House

Matt also sent to me the link to the US Air Force Request for Information, which we submitted information to last week (see attached). This program has an annual budget of $50 - $60 M USD and they have previously financed a beryllium project into production for $73 M USD.

If you have any questions about either of our assets, please let me know. We still have as well the Blue River tantalum project here in BC, which is the largest defined and cash positive resource for tantalum in the world.
