I doubt if Baker (et al) can get the financing
to materially($5-$8 per share) to up the bid and same goes for other possible suitors. Personally, I won't sell at this time below $18.
The only solution I can see therefore is to spin off SAKS on an IPO. We would get X shares of SAKS per every HBC share we hold. SAKS is a winner and maybe, just maybe we might get close to $18 eventually. Either way, you're looking at 2020 or even beyond. Still a HOLD for me..
