Hello Carl! Welcome back and congratulations on showing the Cannabis Investment Community that Aphria is in fact still alive, and executing as originally intended, and then some. Well done to the entire team!
My questions surround Aphria’s relationship with Tetra-BioPharma. As per Q4-2019 Aphria holds $17,216M or 26,900,000 shares and 6,900,000 warrants (33,800,000 units). Making up for roughly 15.9% ownership of TBP after this most previous raise. (As per TMXmoney share count)
This is down significantly from a few Q’s ago where Aphria owned 19.9% and closing in on the 15% ownership minimum as per the Shareholder Agreement. It is attributable to Tetra seeking funding through private placements so there are no surprises or significant worries there.
1) Is Aphria still confident in Tetras trials, currently using Aphria proprietary genetics as input? Pending results from phase 3 clinical trials, if positive in nature, does Aphria plan to maintain or increase its ownership above that 15% minimum to maintain claim the board seat you sit on? Perhaps walk up to the next tier and take 2 seats?
2) This is from @dianereardon33 on Twitter.
will APHA remain supplier for when $TBP submits 001 to the EMA and receives approval to distribute in Europe as a herbal drug. Thank you in advance
And 3) Is there any general commentary on this relationship that you may be inclined to provide? I realize nothing unknown and material can be disclosed here but as APHA CFO and TBP board member, is there anything you can provide us to help my $TBP bags feel lighter?
Thanks again Carl!
Edit for spelling and phrasing,
