RE:RE:Aussie view battery demand Aug 2019

RE:RE:Aussie view battery demand Aug 2019Thanks Wheeler that India article is great.  Pressure on the Modi gov't has grown substantially because a lot of the diesel/petrol rickshaws have been converted to EVs.  With an electric rickshaw the driver can actually breath much cleaner air and ALL the riders avoid the smell on their clothes from the exhaust, plus are also able to breath somewhat better.

Indiahas what seems like gazilions of 2 and 3 wheel vehicles and read these goals again in Wheeler's report.

Modi government has a stated commitment to reduce air pollution by doubling down on electric vehicles. The road map envisages all vehicles sold after 2030 being electric. Niti wants all sub-150cc two-wheelers sold in India after March 31, 2025, to be electric. For three-wheelers, the proposed deadline is March 31, 2023.
