The amount of gold showings on the Atlin property is truly something. Below are a few interesting facts I pulled from the company website.
** over 600,000 ozs of gold have been produced from placer operations on 13 creeks (by my count) on the property; second only to Barkerville camp placer operations
** Spruce Creek alone produced 254,000 oz gold
** largest gold nugget ever found was 2.6 kg (85 oz)
** Homestake has outlined a deposit on Yellowjacket Zone of 453,000 tonnes grading 10.26 g/t gold, with the best intersections at Yellowjacket returning 5.57 m of 509.96 g/t gold and 2.62 m of 853 g/t gold
** sampling by Brixton in 2017 returned grab samples ranging up to 293 g/t gold
** LD Zone returned 330 g/t gold in a 15 kg bulk sample, as well as a grab sample grading 1615 g/t gold (52 oz) and drill intercepts up to 9.39 g/t gold over 3 m
** Pictou Zone has returned up to 2 m of 14.3 g/t gold
It's clear from the multiple showings and extremely high grades that gold is undoubtedly plentiful on the Atlin property. Also given the size and angularity of gold nuggets found in placer operations, the source for the gold must be in very close proximity, and should be quite extensive in size (and grade). Here's hoping the Brixton team can apply information gathered to date (geological, geophysics, geochemistry sampling, past findings/historical evidence) as well as their own skills and concepts to discovering some zones of significant gold.
Have a good day!
For anyone just joining the board here's a summary of the Atlin property where BBB is currently drilling. Hope Sunny doesn't mind!
