I agree.  Whoever made that initial offer saw what a great company this is and would love 
to get their hands on it on the cheap.  Can't blame them really.   I went through a similar 
takeover recently and after an initial offer,  which was flatly rejected,  came back with 2 more
offers including a sweetener on the dividend.  Many sold out after the first rise in the s/p
but for those who stuck it out,   they did very well in the end.  I remember millions of shares
trading well below intrinsic value as long suffering holders couldn't wait to unload only to
find out s few months later,  they were roundly fleeced in their haste to dump at the first blush. 

Even if the offer never gets taken up,  it show everyone what IPL should be worth and how
much potential exists for those who can stick with it,  however,  I suspect another offer to materialize soon before the European assets are sold.
