Canada is coming on quick
Canada is coming on quickin respect to proactive companies, getting their ducks in order to be a part of phase 2, edibles in the Canadian marketplace. Canadian lawmakers have already backed off the launch date with the 60 day approval after submission. It is like Canada is going to allow edibles but you won't get to eat them. We have fumbled through and built the Canadian greenrush space off of the medical marijuana program and so far have legalized the most health harmful way of ingestion which is smoking.
Canada is busy over-thinking this and over-regulating as edibles are going to be allowed. The law and policy makers are so prohibition era, touching on everything as though it is a new terrible vice, all the while ignoring the possibility that cannabinoid consumption might be far more safe than alcohol.
They have some good points for keeping it out of the hands of little kids and having tracking and control to ensure that it is grown safely by licensed producers, but then they have hogtied it with ridiculous packaging and advertising restrictions, especially if they want to drive the black market players out.
Nutritional High has announced some kind of deals for Canada, but do our prospective partners know about these deals or taking them seriously and most important are they real and binding? EAT doesn't have much of a product line to bring to the table and it seems that there are a lot of new oil crackers doing a respectable job in the value added department. Is EAT going to go after a wrapper royalty and advisory fees and do they have the money and credibility to buy into the Canadian greenrush?
Then there is EAT's speed of development or lack of, that needs to be adressed.
I would like to see EAT take care of California and then build out, but that is just my rationale mostly because I think they are at the point of do or die. Our competition seems to be taking care of business and able to expand and us, not so much! glta and dyodd
