Yeah. At a slow government pace.
Step #1 - Suspension with recommondation for revoke.
Step #2 - Cannabis Act allows for an appeal within 30 days of the action taken by Health Canada.
Step #3 - File appeal with NEW information on why the appeal is warranted and what steps have been taken to remedy the situation.
FACT: Only 3 employees have been publicly let go. Departments involved to pull off this issue:
- Accountants
- Security
- Cultivation
- Investor Relations
- Management
- Executives
- Executive assistant (whoever takes the minutes)
- Quality Assurance
Total employees - 30 to 50 people participated in facilitating this infraction.
And what exactly has CannTrust done to show it is making improvements to be deemed compliant?
1) Fired Peter after emails were exposed
2) Fired one random employee they tried to blame it all on
3) Chairman stepped down
4) Special Committee has been formed of members who are likely tainted
The level of compliance issues with this Firm would take over a year to prove its value to Health Canada.
Suspension will validate legal action, of which in the USA they are closing the file on September 9th from investors to pursue legal action to then deliver their case. CannTrust will be well suspended by that date.
