RE:The Numerous Land Mines in the Energy Sector (SA article)

On another note, this Seeking Alpha article below was out a few days ago and the author presents the numerous land mines in the stock markets including those in the energy sector. The author teaches  valuable lessons to all the energy investors and if you scroll down a bit he also says that we have not seen yet the bottom in the oilfield services sector:

He also includes a bunch of Canadian energy names into his lists such as STEP, ESI, BDI, PD, WEQ  etc.

This specific author has been ranked in TOP-100 since 2012, so he knows his stuff and has a proven track record with many successful long and short calls.

Good read for all the neergy investors.

these are all service companies. I do not see them as 'energy' companies as they don't produce any oil or gas.  They feed off the real energy companies.  If energy companies don't drill, they won't do well, it's no brainer.
