RE:RE:RE:From Mitchell Smith TodayI think it's pretty obvious that those were historic results, intercepts, etc. I'm sure that when I originally compiled the data, I clearly discussed the history of the property.
Personally, I feel the data is relevant for a number of reasons. Obviously, the chances of intersecting significant zones of mineralization are that much more enhanced if you're exploring an area where you already know high grades have been intersected in the past.
The 600,000 oz gold mined historically was placer gold from several creeks on our property. The significance to us today? Locating the bedrock source of all this gold could prove to be quite a deposit. DId all that gold come from the zones that have been already outlined...Yellowjacket, LD, Pictou? I suspect not, and neither does the company. FInd a control or feeder zone for these zones, and we could really be onto something. That would more than likely take some deep drilling...
Essentially, we are in a similar position to what BGM was years ago (as far as Atlin exploration goes) and that should be a sign of encouragement. Barkerville was the largest placer producer in B.C. (ATlin was second largest). They explored to discover the source of that placer gold, have had obvious success, and currently have a $200,000,000 market cap.
At any rate, holes are drilled and we await assays for those holes. In the meantime, we can expect an announcement any day that drilling (with 2 drills) has resumed on our Thorn property where we last intersected 554 m of 1.97 g/t gold eq.
I guess there are a couple potential solutions.....don't read our posts (that mention historic results), put us on ignore, or I can simply stop sharing info. I really don't do it to "pump", but to share information that I've gathered and provide my interpretation (former geologist). Goodness knows I can use the time for something else.
At any rate, have a good night!
