Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

WEED

WEEDNot expecting great things...

This is STZ management opportunity to clean out the closet and blame on fired CEO Bruce Linton.

If ever there was a time to take some writedowns now is it.  Perhaps their guidance will be more positive.

One would like to think that Aphria already realizing its writedowns and creating strong branding would fare well for us. However, Canopy Growth is still considered the industry bellwether...so how their Q goes will impact the sector.

The irony is that TRST issues benefit APHA, as does the bad reputation of Canopy’s product.  More sector illogic.
