RE:RE:Kyrgyz Replublic Tormoil
RE:RE:Kyrgyz Replublic TormoilPersonally I would object to trading the lithium project for the mine/plant in the republic for a couple of reasons.
A) Over the next decade + the demand for REEs is expected to grow 655% but the demand for lithium is expected to grow over 2700% in the same time frame. There are researchers and whatnot working on other battery tech that could replace lithium but I can almost gaurantee the big players in the lithium industry will buyout these companies/researchers and quietly scuttle those inovations to protect thier investments as there is currently Billions of USD being poured into lithium mining and processing tech. The oil companys did this with almost every fuel saving inovation for multiple decades.
B) Getting the mine/processing plant back is highly speculative at this point whereas with the lithium deal Rosatom has stated they are 100% going ahead with the project
C) We have already neogiated a 50/50 Joint Venture structure with Rosatom with minor things still being discussed . Someone posted here they think Stan's will be fronted the money by Rosaton to get the project off the ground and we would just pay them back with the profits IIRC.
D) With 50% ownership the lithium deal when fully operational is worth at least a few hundred millions of $$.
E) **Speculative** We could get bought out by the Russians as Uranium One had a deal with Rosatom for a project and a while later the Russians bought them out. The details of Stan's versus Uranium One are different but very similar. I believe the directors even brought this up in the 2019 AGM.
