RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:US Bond Msarket Flashes Recession Warning....Exceedingly lame response to the real problem with US HEALTH CARE: PRIVATE INSURANCE
I bet you and noone else here knows about the performance of the S&P 500 Managed Health Care sub-index in the last 10 years. Would you believe gains in the 800% range.
It's very clear that a lot of people, most of them rich, are profiting mightily on the private health insurance scam in the USA. Imagine making money on other people's misery. I guess that's the American Way - a reprehensible way to make money.

I'm assuming you are relatively young and in good health. Sometimes on has to be careful what they wish for. Yes our Canadian medical system is reasonably good but it is far from great. I just had a best friend pass away while waiting over 3 months for a heart valve to be replaced that the medical field said was urgent but they just couldn't manage to fit him in. It does have a lot of drawbacks. Down south if you have the insurance you get the treatment when it's needed and it's usually first class but as with them all -- there are a lot of drawbacks.
I had a couple of 'low income' friends in their late 70's in Palm Springs and their insurance cost was not much different than what I pay for MSA + EHB and they never waited or wanted for anything. CT/MRI/X-Ray or whatever -- they were available within days not months like we have in B.C. Perceptions? Maybe.
Maybe there is a happy medium and if you have what is poor you think medium is great and if you have what is good you think medium is a definite downgrade. What ever they come up with will not be acceptable to all.
