Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:TRST is on it's last legs, Grizzle Art.

RE:TRST is on it's last legs, Grizzle Art.I have held the position of Health Canada wanting to make an example of TRST since wrong doing was reported. HC has plenty of companies that will play by there rules and believe TRST is done. As for the sale and re-application of the license it is anyone's guess at this point. My guess is a sale but the bidding company must go through HC's modified process with a couple grow cycles and inspections.... Ascent was a similar situation and no sale of the greenhouse was ever done, it is just sitting there now. The real losers of the situation are the shareholders as they lose everything. The board and CEO should be in jail, and banned from publicly listed companies, as there actions are beyond fraud. Again Ascent's team sold directly to the black market off the books and got off pretty easy. Be very glad Simon has a strong corporate governance policy and that is worth some strong comfort as a shareholder.

Click on link above.
Bottom Line:
Recent negative news makes it very apparent that the only lifeline left to CannTrust is if Health Canada allows management to sell the company to Aleafia without losing its licenses. This seems like a long shot due to the scope of the wrongdoing involved.
