I 100% agree that they MUST focus on global markets if they wish to be successful in the long run. Canada is full of so many roadblocks and frankly revenue opportunities would be limiting given the terrible rollout federally and provincially. Government finds every way to mess this industry up and has taken away our first country advantage for all intents.
That said, in my view, the OneLeaf acquisiton is meant to position the company globally. I'm no expert but the fact that the facility is built to EU specs is bullish. I hope Terry speaks to this in due course, but once they line up their ducks, certainly they should be looking at gettting into Canadian retail early in 2020 while also aggressively pursuing options for the EU and the US.
Related to this, my understanding anecdotally is that alot of products coming from Canadian LPs are not so great. There may be an advantage to having OneLeaf's premium craft product as we'd have a nice niche on the high end (no pun intended). I've been observing that organic or premium products seem to be attracting more consumers (especially with millenials). Would love to see more research about this, but in interim, I do like the unique position we have with vertical integration with LXX and OneLeaf. I do believe we have something special here that is not reflected in the share price at present.
