From the last time I looked into it, Credo and S7 can do much the same in terms of speed. The main difference is that S7 can also shrink cable diameter significantly which leads to additional energy savings through easier cooling and easier/more flexible set up. Will that amount to enough of an advantage? I dunno. That said, S7 offers more.
