RE:RE:Why even announce something “imminent“?GeorgeOU812 wrote: You've raised a great question. I have followed tons of stocks over the years, and I can't recall even one time when an "imminent" deal has ever been hyped in advance via official news release. Now I'm not an insider like some people, so there's no way I'm gonna even attempt to explain why they did it or predict what will happen. To quote the official DDC news release about the prior ridicuously long trade halt,
"Trading halts are implemented to ensure a fair and orderly market." There is absolutely nothing "fair and orderly" about publicly tipping off all the shorts, day traders and other scum of the earth prior to a big announcement. It looks and smells like possibly a Cash Grab, no different than the Air Canada and Moose Cree deals that saw big pre-announcement gains followed by huge post-announcement crashes. Also a possibility is another bought deal financing announced right after the new customer deal is announced, we all remember what it did to the share price the last time that happened in March. Or perhaps they are not sure how investors will react to the new customer deal, so they are banking on the building up of excitement and high hopes which often happens with lengthy advanced speculation. We all remember the crazy posts here during the absurdly long trade halt, when people predicted DDC was negotiating a buyout with Amazon or whatever. Again I'm not making any predictions, just saying it's very very strange to make an advance announcement like this. It goes against everything the stock market has taught us over the decades. We'd all be billionaires if other companies made advance announcements like this. Bottom line, tread carefully. And remember if you move the "e" in "tread" to the very end, it spells "trade". Good luck and God Bless.

And there it is!!! Great to have you back! The real question is...why do you keep making these long, babbling, useless posts when you don't even own any shares?
