RE:RE:RE:Dr Tim Ball Defeats Michael Mann’s Climate Lawsuit! Thanks Doc very true cause is the issue and we have seen from millions of years ago that have been excessively warm caused by volcanic activity spewing carbon into the atmosphere which in turn caused high growth of vegetation that generated higher levels of oxygen which eventually brought about small & large ice ages ... in other words here we go again ...eh! By the way Doc it takes a big man to say he was wrong ... thanks big guy.

Investclub: the issue is not warming – but its cause. The theory is that it is carbon dioxide – but that has not been proven. All the computer models showed continuous warming – but then there was the “pause.” The gasses went up – but the temperatures did not respond as the theory had predicted.
In a common sense world, that would suggest the theory is flawed. In a world of “extraordinary popular delusions and the madness of crowds” the theory is still promoted as if the facts don’t matter.
Climageddon has been predicted since the 1980's – but it has been elusive. If you look at the behaviour of the alarmists – it does nothing to inspire confidence. From the Club of Rome in the early nineties – which admitted that it intended to use global warming to promote its aim of getting rid of democracy – in favour of government by “experts” – to the ravings of Maurice Strong – who thought that industrial civilization ought to be destroyed – to the hypocrisy of people like Suzuki – and Gore – there is little to suggest that the concern is with “science.” Indeed, the mantra “the science is settled” is entirely contrary to the spirit of scientific enquiry – which is always open to modification in the light of new information. Have you noted the artful dodgery of the alarmists – who switched from “global warming” – when it wasn’t happening – to “climate change” which is irrefutable – and irrelevant – but which they pretend means the same thing? Then they started to label carbon as a “pollutant” – and now they are talking of an “emergency.” But where are the facts that prove the theory?
I will be very surprised if the anthropogenic theory is not eventually regarded as further proof of the “madness of herds” to which human beings seem – traditionally – so susceptible.
“The only relevant test of the validity of a hypothesis is comparison of prediction with experience.” (Milton Friedman)
“The problem is we don't know what the climate is doing. We thought we knew 20 years ago. That led to some alarmist books -- mine included -- because it looked clear-cut, but it hasn't happened.”
